Andrew Zorowitz has taken on the role of Acting Executive Director of GAMA: The Tabletop Game Association.

He assumes the role of Acting Executive Director after Melinda Prickett, Chief Operating Officer and Interim Executive Director, resigned along with board member Ross Thompson (see “GAMA Interim Executive Director, Board Member Resign“). Zorowitz will serve a six-month term in this position. During this term, he will lead GAMA through their first GAMA Expo show in Baltimore (see “Registration Opens for GAMA Expo“) and help organize Origins Game Fair as well as run day-to-day operations.

Zorowitz has been the CEO of Foam Brain Games almost 17 years. Foam Brain is well known for their quality dice products, enamel pins, blind bags and licensed accessories. They currently make accessories for IPs such as Dungeon Crawler Carl, Warhammer, Pathfinder, Cyberpunk RED, and more. He has a great deal of experience as an accessories publisher and convention exhibitor; Foam Brain regularly attends Gen Con, PAX, MagicCons, and others.

“GAMA Expo and Origins both mean a lot to me, and I know they mean equally as much to our members,” said Zorowitz of his appointment. “I’m looking forward to helping make GAMA Expo’s move to Baltimore a success, prepare for Origins and support a strong transition when a full-time Executive Director is hired.”

He will also take a temporary step away from Foam Brain Games to focus on his role as Acting Executive Director during his tenure.
