Mad Cave Studios will expand the world of cult 1984 film The Last Starfighter with new stories in collaboration with film writer Jonathan Betuel and producer Paul Davidson. The new series, written by Benjamin Raab and Deric A. Hughes with Betuel and Davidson, with art by Willi Roberts and colorist Francesco Segala, will tell the story of Alex Rogan, who’s leading the Star League and recruiting a new cast of Starfighters to battle Xur and the Ko-Dan Armada.
The first issue of the new series will be released on July 1, one week after the release of Mad Cave’s collection of the 1984 The Last Starfighter comics (see “Graphic Novel Reprint”).
Covers for the first issue will be contributed by Taurin Clarke, Rahzzah, David LaFuente and Stephanie Hans.
