People on the Move: Asmodee Announces a Transition in Leadership Within Its Publishing Arm

Co-founder Philippe Mouret and CATAN’s Pete Fenlon Step Back from Their Current Leadership Roles

Asmodee announced a transition in leadership within its publishing arm.

Both Asmodee co-founder Philippe Mouret and Head of CATAN Studios Pete Fenlon will be stepping back from daily operations and turning their current duties over to the next generation.  Mouret, Asmodee’s Deputy Head of Studio, will turn his duties over to Julia Marcelin, who has been with Asmodee for seven years (most recently working alongside Mouret as Deputy Head of L4Games).  She now becomes the head of five of Asmodee’s most prolific studios: Days of Wonder, Repos Production, Libellud, Next Move, and Space Cowboys.  Mouret will remain involved with the publishing arm, working closely with Jean-Sebastien De Barros, EVP Publishing and Chief Product Officer and Benoit Clerc, SVP Tabletop through the transition.

CATAN Studio Head Pete Fenlon will be stepping down after a run in the games industry that included 20 years as CEO and Chairman of Mayfair Games, and then a decade of leading CATAN Studio after Asmodee bought CATAN (see “Asmodee NA Gets ‘Catan’“).  He will hand over the helm to Mike Bisogno, who came to Asmodee in 2026 by way of Spin Master where he was their Senior Director of Design and Inventor Relations.  Bisogno has a track record of building partnerships over his 17 years at Spin Master, and as Head of CATAN Studios he will be tasked with finding new growth opportunities for the CATAN brand.
