'Final Fantasy TCG' Contemplates 'Memories of Life'

Square Enix has announced that the 30th booster set in the Opus series for the Final Fantasy TCG will be Memories of Life, in time to celebrate the game’s 10th Anniversary.  Memories of Life will launch on November 13.

Memories of Life introduces the first non-LB multi-element cards to the game to offer players new deck-building strategies.  The set will also feature premium versions of the starter-exclusive cards that were included in the starter set Final Fantasy XIV – Heavensward, releasing in October, with five of the twelve cards being full-art premium versions.  A gold-foil stamped signature card Shantotto [30-080L] displaying Fumio Minagawa’s signature will be the Special Card for this set, and the Noir series continues with Sephiroth [7-034L].

The complete set will have 118 cards and 167 premium cards, including 130 premium versions of standard cards, 35 full-art premium cards, 1 Special Card, 1 Noir card, and 3 Legacy Cards featuring Tifa [20-077L], Cyan [21-004L], and Vegnagun [25-105L]. The expansion will be available in 12-card booster packs packaged in 18-pack display boxes.  Each pack will include one premium card.

To support the launch, Square Enix is offering a Memories of Life Pre-Release Kit, available November 6, which will include nine Memories of Life booster packs, an exclusive promo card, and an exclusive sleeve pack.

Memories of Life follows August’s release of the Blissful Eternity set (see “New ‘Final Fantasy TCG’ Set Enters a ‘Blissful Eternity’”).  Square Enix has also announced a Final Fantasy board game scheduled for January 2027 (see “Square Enix Unveils New ‘Final Fantasy VII’ Board Game”).
