New Restaurant and Game Store Serves Up Food, Fun, and Cocktails on Chicago’s Southwest Side
ICv2 visited Evergreen Social: Whiskey & Boardgame Tavern at 2855 W 95th Street in Evergreen Park, Illinois on April 17, 2026.
The layout of this establishment is based on a restaurant and games business model similar to the Mox Boarding House stores on the West Coast. The store was built by six Evergreen Park locals (Philip and Christina Flores, Rashaun Little, Fabian Gonzalez, Nick Rodriguez, and John Adams) who saw a need in the community for a place where people could gather, share a meal, have a drink, and play games. Some of the owners are former educators who also have children, so this place was also created to double as a safe space for students in the Chicagoland area to come after school. Additionally, the store seeks to hire young people that are part of the Evergreen Park community and provide them with mentoring opportunities.
