Bushiroad revealed more details on Palworld: Official Card Game, which is set to hit stores on July 30, 2026.
Palworld: Official Card Game was announced in January 2026 and is a new TCG based on the popular Palworld digital game (see “‘Palworld Official Card Game’“) that has exceeded 35 million downloads worldwide. The game was briefly demoed at GAMA Expo 2026, and later, at C2E2, more information about gameplay and the cards was released. The game is essentially a two-player card game where players deploy Pals, build up resources, and then create structures to capture the battlefield.
The game is turn-based and has five phases: a Stand Phase, a Draw Phase, a Soul Phase, a Main Phase, and an End Phase. The first two phases are standard to most card games, where players reset their team and draw (to “stand” a card is similar to “untap”). The Soul Phase is a resource-harnessing phase, where players gain a number of Soul cards to pay for costs. During the Main Phase, players can deploy a Pal, deploy a Structure, deploy a Gear, use an Event card, Battle with a Pal, Rest (put in Graveyard) three Soul cards to draw a card, and use an ACT ability.
Different Pals have different Attack powers, and Event cards are one-time-use cards that create a powerful effect. One of the features that separates this game from Pokemon TCG and other similar games is that the Pals can be armed with Gear (and the Gear is hilarious). Players can arm up their fuzzy little monsters with Pump-Action Shotguns or have them man Machine Gun structures. Overall, the general goal of the game is to attack opponents with Pals to destroy their structures and eventually reduce their life total to zero to end the game.
This game will feature an organized play program for LGS. There will also be regional tournaments for the game that lead into a World Championship tournament that will happen at Bushiroad’s Card Game Festival 2027.
