Miniatures Week 2026: Golden Demon Award Winners Unveiled

Games Workshop unveiled the winners of the Golden Demon USA 2026 painting competition, which was held at AdeptiCon 2026 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

GW once again held the U.S. leg of their Golden Demon painting competition at AdeptiCon. The categories changed slighly this year, as they added a Warhammer Underworlds category back into the competition. They had removed this category for the 2026 competition (see “Golden Demon Award Winners Announced“).  The categories were as follows for the 2026 competition:

  • Warhammer 40,000: Single Miniature
  • Warhammer 40,000: Unit or Kill Team
  • Warhammer 40,000: Large Model or Vehicle
  • Age of Sigmar: Single Miniature
  • Age of Sigmar: Unit, Warcry, or Underworlds Warband
  • Age of Sigmar: Large Model or War Machine
  • Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game
  • The Horus Heresy
  • Necromunda
  • Blood Bowl
  • Warhammer: The Old World
  • Epic Scale
  • Youngbloods
  • Diorama
  • Duel
  • Open Competition
  • Slayer Sword

The Slayer Sword was handed over to David Arroba for his Age of Sigmar diorama. This intricate model featured a dragon-mounted rider sitting on top of a tomb with a vampire emerging from the coffin. Congratulations to all of the winners!
