PSA Publishes 93-page PDF Listing Cards Stolen; Total of 6,451 Items Stolen, Including Gleaming Gold Smaug, Charizard Holo #4, and More

The FBI has jumped in to investigate the PSA/FedEx heist that happened at PSA’s Santa Ana offices on October 13, 2026.

The story of the PSA/FedEx heist continues to play out like something from Goodfellas (1990) with the exception that instead of bags of cash and jewelry being pilfered from a Lufthansa cargo terminal, it involves pallets of very expensive cardboard stolen from an unattended delivery truck (see “Deets Emerge“).  Regardless, PSA made the announcement that the FBI was now involved in the recovery of the over 6,451 cards stolen from the truck. The company’s statement regarding FBI involvement in the investigation is as follows:

“Both the Santa Ana Police Department and the FBI are investigating the theft.  We are working closely with law enforcement and fully supporting their efforts.  We have provided investigators with video footage, shipment manifests, and item-level records, briefed them in person at our facility, and remain in daily contact.

We are committed to keeping impacted customers and the broader community informed to the fullest extent possible, while protecting the integrity of the investigation.

If you believe you have information that could aid the investigation, please contact the FBI (instructions below).”

To avoid further any misinformation being shared on social media, PSA has released a complete list of the cards stolen in the heist.  Among the 6,451 graded cards stolen, the bulk of them were Pokémon and sports cards. Here are some of the more rare pieces on the list (in no particular order):

  • PSA #179183951 2026 Magic: The Gathering The Hobbit 0249 Smaug the Magnificent Headliner – Gleaming Gold
  • PSA #177980867 1999 Pokémon Game 4 Charizard – Holo 1st Edition
  • PSA #177980868 1999 Pokémon Game 15 Venusaur – Holo 1st edition
  • PSA #177980866 1999 Pokémon Game 2 Blastoise – Holo 1st edition
  • PSA #178443565 2005 Shonen Jump’s One Piece CCG Promo PR007 The Invincible Swordsman Tournament Winner
  • PSA #179247755 2026 Topps Silver Pack 1991 Chrome All-Stars 50 Shohei Ohtani Superfractor 1/1
  • PSA #179268851 1933 Goudey 144 Babe Ruth
  • PSA #179270945 1935 National Chicle 34 Bronko Nagurski

The list of stolen cards also included dozens of autographed cards featuring sports stars like Michael Jordan, Cooper Flagg, Aaron Judge, and more.  The Ruth and Nagurski cards have the potential to be some of the most expensive cards stolen in the lot as they are scarce in any condition and can realize six-figure values in higher PSA grades.  PSA has deactivated the certifications for these cards, so the grades for the cards are currently unavailable via PSA’s card cert lookup website function.  Thus, true market value of these cards cannot be determined outside of their declared insurance value.

PSA instructions for contacting the FBI to provide information about the theft are as follows:

“If you believe you are a victim of the PSA/FedEx card theft, contact the FBI LA Office main number at +1 310-477-6565 and press 1 during regular business hours, 8am-5pm.  Ask to speak to the duty agent regarding the PSA theft.  Be prepared to provide your name, contact information and details regarding the stolen items.  An agent will contact you at a later date.  If you have a tip or other information regarding the theft, please provide that information to the duty agent.”
