Seven Seas Entertainment has announced, through its Siren imprint for audiobooks, the launch of the audiobook for Reluctant Space Commander: From Death Wish to Galactic Hero! by Norasiro and Johndee, with narration by Maxwell Glick. When all he wants is to die a hero, one man joins the Space Force to look cool while saving the planet! The only problem? He’s too good at his job to die! And don’t miss the manga, also available from Seven Seas.
When heartbreak drives Nao to enlist in the Space Force, he discovers a new purpose in life: stylishly sacrificing himself for the greater good. Unfortunately, standing in his way are his capable crew—and his own skills!
Every hopeless battle somehow turns to triumph in his hands. His ship is surrounded? He selflessly orders his crew to abandon him, but they rally instead, wiping out the enemy. A pirate ship is escaping? He ruthlessly crashes himself into it, but its engine fails, enabling its capture. Why can’t a guy just catch a break and go down in a blaze of glory?!
His skyrocketing reputation lands him a swift promotion and the attention of the princess herself, but will Nao get the one thing he truly desires—the sweet release of a heroic death?
Reluctant Space Commander: From Death Wish to Galactic Hero! (Audiobook) Vol. 1 will be released for the first time in the English language on October 15, 2026. Pre-orders available now at sevenseasaudiobooks.com.
