Image Comics will publish Merciless, by writer Mirka Andolfo and artist Lidia Bolognini. The four-issue supernatural horror miniseries is a sequel to Andolfo’s solo series Mercy (see “Preview: Mirka Andolfo’s ‘Mercy’ # 1“), set in the same grimy former mining town 15 years later and following Rory and her companion Joel as they battle the spread of a new drug with otherworldly origins. Image will publish the first issue on December 2, 2026, with a main cover by Bolognini and Andolfo and additional covers by Homare, Leirix, and Nicoletta Baldari, a 1:25 virgin cover by Homare, a 1:50 virgin cover by Leirix, a 1:100 virgin foil cover by Andolfo, a 1:250 signed cover by Andolfo, and a 1:500 original sketch cover by Andolfo.
The collected edition of Mercy was one of the top-selling graphic novels through Comic Hub in December 2020 (see “Top 20 Graphic Novels“).
