Paizo, Inc. will raise prices on select Pathfinder RPG and Starfinder RPG products, beginning October 1, 2026.
The price increase comes due to increasing production and shipping costs. Paizo’s Chief Growth Officer Christian Moore wrote the following in a blog post on their website regarding the reasons for the price increases:
“Making a book has grown more expensive in pretty much every way. Tariffs and shifting global trade rules, paper and printing, freight, warehousing, and fulfillment all cost more than they did when many of our current prices were set. We’ve absorbed as much of it as we responsibly can, but much of it simply remains beyond our control. What we won’t do is cut corners on the books themselves. Adjusting a handful of prices lets us keep making the games you love, at the quality you’ve come to expect from Paizo, hopefully for years to come.”
The most significant price increase listed was that Pathfinder Core hardcover and sketch rulebooks will increase in price from $59.99 to $69.99 (a 17% increase). Rulebook pocket editions will go from $29.99 to $34.99, and certain Lost Omens hardcovers and Starfinder: Alien Core will all go up in price by $5. Adventure Paths, standalone adventures, scenarios, accessories, and most other Paizo products will be unaffected by this round of price increases.
Paizo, Inc. recently revealed that they had almost $2 million in losses in 2025 as a result of the Diamond Comic Distributors bankruptcy, forcing the company to undergo restructuring in 2026 with a dozen employees laid off (see “$2 Million Loss in 2025 Due to Diamond Bankruptcy“).
