McFarlane Toys has brought in Joshua Izzo, who comes to the company from James Cameron’s Lightstorm Entertainment, as its new President. Izzo had been at Lightstorm for nearly 10 years, finishing as Executive Vice President. Prior to his time at Lightstorm, Izzo had held licensing roles at Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products, Capcom Entertainment, and Hasbro.
McFarlane Toys Founder and CEO Todd McFarlane pointed to the qualities Izzo brings to his role. “Having worked with so many of the biggest players, and their brands in Hollywood, gives us a new president with valuable inside knowledge of all aspects of branding and toy making,” he said.
McFarlane Toys Co-owner Stephen Tetrault focused on the future they hope Izzo helps them build. “We believe there is still a lot of room for McFarlane to grow, and Joshua’s experience and leadership will be an important part of helping us get there while building on everything that has made the company successful,” he said.
