Asmodee announced that they have acquired Welcome To…, a game line from French publisher Blue Cocker.
The Welcome To… line is a series of write-and-roll games, designed by Benoit Turpin. The first of these games, which offered players an opportunity to build up a 1950s neighborhood, was released in 2018, and the last game in the series, Welcome to the Moon, made it to U.S. markets in 2022 (see “‘Welcome to the Moon’“).
“Welcome To… established itself as landmark titles in modern board gaming, combining elegant game design with exceptional accessibility,” said Benoit Clerc, SVP of Tabletop games at asmodee. “We have tremendous respect for the work accomplished by the Blue Cocker team, Benoit Turpin, and everyone who contributed to the success of the game and their different iterations.”
Asmodee will develop new Welcome To… games and make sure that the line is widely available to players moving forward. More information on upcoming Welcome To… releases will be shared at an upcoming date.
