Hello friends! Not only is today Friday, but it is also a holiday that is near and dear to our hearts for obvious reasons. It is International Read Comics In Public Day. Since 2010, August 28th (a date which was chosen because it was the birthday for the legendary comics creator Jack Kirby) has been designated as a time where fans can celebrate their love for the medium.
So we recommend you head to your local comics retailer, grab some books, then go out to a park, restaurant, library, anywhere really and be seen reading your favorite comic books. (If they just happen to be Archie, better still!) If you take any pictures with Archie books, be sure to tag us @archiecomics so we see them! Really go out there and show people how much comics mean to you!
What a fantastic way to kick off the weekend and give back to an industry that has impacted the world in immeasurable ways!
