Pokémon Sleep will introduce Mewtwo in the upcoming Unexplored Realm Research! Pursue Mewtwo event, scheduled to begin in mid-September 2026. Professor Neroli has discovered that Mewtwo resides in an unexplored realm within Greengrass Isle, with players set to work together with researchers around the world to accumulate Drowsy Power and investigate Mewtwo’s rare sleep styles. Psychic-type helper Pokémon including Mew, Mr. Mime, Natu, Xatu, Espeon, Wobbuffet, Ralts, Kirlia, Gardevoir, Wynaut, Mime Jr., Cresselia, Munna and Musharna will be particularly effective during the event, with Mew expected to play an especially important role because of its connection to Mewtwo’s sleep styles. Players will also be able to collect Mewtwo DNA samples and exchange them for Mewtwo Incense, which can be used to encounter different Mewtwo sleep styles. The event follows the Mini Snapshot Surprise Missions event, which will give players another opportunity to befriend Mew before the Mewtwo research begins.
