Pokémon Sleep will host the Mini Snapshot Surprise event from Aug. 31 at 4 a.m. to Sept. 7 at 3:59 a.m. local time, giving players another opportunity to encounter and befriend the Mythical Pokémon Mew through special Snapshot Surprise research. During the event, Mew can appear in photos taken while researching Pokémon sleep styles, with players able to collect at least two Snapshot Surprise photos during their first sleep research each day and progress through missions based on the number collected. Trainers who have not yet befriended Mew can earn the required rewards through the missions, while those who already have Mew can receive a Eureka Seed (Mew). Snapshot Surprise rewards will also be boosted, including 1.25 times the usual Candies and Research EXP plus 1,000 additional Dream Shards, while the first sleep research of each day will guarantee one hungry Pokémon. Psychic-type Pokémon including Mr. Mime, Natu, Xatu, Espeon, Wobbuffet, Ralts, Kirlia, Gardevoir, Wynaut, Mime Jr., Munna and Musharna will also have increased appearance rates in select areas. The event will introduce a limited-time Mini Candy Boost that doubles the EXP earned by helper Pokémon from candies while costing four times the usual Dream Shards per candy, with up to 50 candies eligible each day. Mission rewards can be claimed until Sept. 9 at 3:59 a.m., and players who complete Mew’s missions but have not yet encountered it can trigger the encounter by conducting sleep research before that deadline.
