Pokémon GO’s August 2026 Community Day took place today, August 16, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, with Nickit featured as the event Pokémon. Trainers had increased opportunities to encounter Shiny and Special Background Nickit, while evolving Nickit through 9:00 p.m. produced Thievul that knew the Charged Attack Icy Wind. The event also offered 3× Stardust and 2× Candy for catching Pokémon, along with increased Candy XL chances, extended Incense and Lure Module durations, reduced Stardust trading costs, and an additional Special Trade. Nickit also had a very high chance of appearing at PokéStops with active regular Lure Modules through 9:00 p.m. local time.
