Scrooge McDuck has a holiday adventure in Uncle Scrooge: A Christmas Carol, by writer Louise Simonson and veteran Disney artists Fabio Celoni, Francesco D’Ippolito, Paolo Mottura and Marco Mazzarello. When his greed for gold leaves Uncle Scrooge alone on Christmas, he has three magical adventures (involving Donald Duck, Huey, Dewey, Louie, Ludwig Von Drake, Gyro Gearloose) that help him learn that family is more important than money. Or not, because Scrooge is Scrooge. Marvel Comics will release the one-shot comic on November 18, 2026, with a main cover by Walter Simonson.
“Uncle Scrooge, Donald and the kids were the heroes in some of my favorite stories when I was a kid—in fact, the Duck books were the only comics I ever had a subscription to,” Louise Simonson said in a statement accompanying the announcement. “I loved their humor, their conflicts, and their quirky personalities and writing my own Uncle Scrooge: A Christmas Carol was a dream come true.”
This comic will have a more traditional look than last year’s Uncle Scrooge: Earth’s Mightiest Duck (see “Preview: ‘Uncle Scrooge: Earth’s Mightiest Duck’”).
