Nintendo has outlined what players need to do before Pokémon Pokopia‘s free Version 2.0.0 update and the Expansion Pass Part 1: Bubbly Basin DLC arrive on Aug. 5. To access the new content, players must complete the “Raise the environment level!” request in Bleak Beach by increasing the area’s environment level to at least 5, while also unlocking the ability to jump and learning the Surf move before Dive becomes available. Nintendo also shared tips for reaching the requirement, including befriending more Pokémon by building habitats, improving Pokémon comfort through housing and requested items, completing Pokémon requests and regularly checking environment progress at the Pokémon Center PC. Once those requirements are met, the free update will let Ditto learn Dive and build underwater, while the paid Bubbly Basin expansion will add a new underwater town featuring additional Pokémon, floating building mechanics, watermelons, furniture, a new Dream Island and more when it launches the same day.
