Pokémon GO officially celebrated its 10th anniversary on July 6, marking a decade since the hit mobile game first launched in 2016. To commemorate the milestone, the Pokémon GO team has unveiled this year’s anniversary artwork created by Yusuke Kozaki, the game’s longtime character designer. The celebration also highlights 10 major milestones from the game’s history, including Raid Battles, Friends and Trading, Mega Evolution, GO Battle League, Shadow Raids and the debut of Dynamax and Gigantamax Pokémon. The new artwork honors the community that has shaped Pokémon GO over the past decade while looking ahead to the adventures still to come.
