Wizards of the Coast announced that Dungeons & Dragons: Arcana Unleashed, a new rulebook for Dungeons & Dragons, has hit preorder with an expected release date of September 15, 2026.
Arcana Unleashed was first announced as part of the D&D 2026 lineup in March (see “‘D&D’ Roadmap“). The new book delves into high-magic society by adding 8 new arcane subclasses to the game. It also includes 33 new and revised spells, 19 magic creatures, and 47 magical items. This book also details 9 arcane factions and 6 group patrons, and it includes the Tomb of the Shadow Serpents introductory adventure. Arcana Unleashed is also available with an alternate art cover and will retail for $49.99.
Alongside the main expansion rulebook, WotC will release Deadfall, a new adventure book. This book sends heroes, levels 11-20, into the nation of Thay to tangle with the infamous red-robed wizards and the lich Szass Tam. The adventure book contains 6 high-CR creatures for players to do battle with, 14 magical items, a Thay Gazetteer, and over 20 maps for the adventure. It will retail for $29.99.
There will also be an Map Pack available for this release. The Map Pack comes with 5 double-sided poster maps, monster tokens, traps, and arcane terrain pieces.
