Games Workshop Announces Two New 'Warhammer 40,000 Starter Sets'

Games Workshop announced two new Warhammer 40,000 Starter Sets, which will hit retail soon.

GW has changed the way that they scale their entry point sets for 11E. For the last few editions of Warhammer 40,000, they have been offering three starter sets: an introductory set, a full starter set, and an ultimate starter set (see “Three Starter Sets for ‘Warhammer 40,000 10E’“). This time around they are only offering two starter sets.

The Warhammer 40,000: Introductory Set comes is a set designed for two players who are looking to take their first steps into the 41st Millennium. It comes with 12 miniatures, enough to play a skirmish game, an introductory book, and other information. The box also contains a set of six paints, dice, a game mat, folding card terrain, and more.

The Warhammer 40,000: Starter Set is aimed at veteran players looking to get everything they need to play a full 11E game. The box contains two complete Combat Patrol armies: the Space Marines and the Orks. It will also come with a Core Rules book, 15 pieces of unpainted terrain, a double-sided game board, range rulers, dice, and a special Starter Guide book.
