Wizards of the Coast Reveals Eight Decks of 'D&D Reference Cards'

Wizards of the Coast revealed eight decks of D&D Reference Cards, which will hit retail on August 18, 2026.

The decks feature quick reference stats for spells, magic items, and monsters that are included in the 2024 edition of the D&D rules.  These decks save players time at the table because the cards allow them to quickly look up different abilities or stat blocks.  The cards in these decks are also adorned with beautiful artwork, depicting the spells, items, or monsters that the card is referencing.

This wave of decks is arranged a little differently than some the previous Reference Deck releases.  The spells are split up into three different decks and are sorted by level: Spells: Levels 0-1, Spells: Levels 2-3, and Spells: Levels 4-5.  In the past, the spell reference cards had either come all in one deck or were sorted out by class per deck. Each Spells Reference Deck will retail for $19.99.

The Magic Items Reference Decks split the items into two classifications: Common and Uncommon and Rare and Very Rare.  Each of these decks will retail for $24.99.  The Monster Reference Decks divide the creatures from the 2024 Monster Manual into three different taxonomy groups: Animals and NPCs, Mystical and Menacing, and Fearsome and Ferocious.  The Monster Reference Decks will retail for $24.99 each.

Wizards of the Coast also recently released Dungeons & Dragons: Ravenloft – The Horrors Within (see “‘D&D: Ravenloft – The Horrors Within’“).
