Office Dog Games will release Schadenfreude, a new board game, into retail on November 6, 2026.
In this game, designed by studio Turbine, players enter the walls of Castle Schadenfreude, a place where ambition turns deadly. They will take on the roles of conniving residents that are looking upgrade their status within the castle’s court by knocking off other inhabitants. To help in their efforts, players can bribe castle staff, like the Cook, Guard, Cultist, Jester and Executioner, to help make unfortunate accidents happens. Mechinically, this game involves trick-taking, where the goal is to come in second and hold onto enough cards to reach the top of the board.
The game is for three to five players, ages 10 and up, and plays in 20 minutes. It will retail for $24.99.
