Marvel will launch a new, ongoing Avengers series by writer Chip Zdarsky and artist Marco Checchetto in November. The new series will follow from the events of the five-issue Avengers: Armageddon, by Zdarsky and artists Delio Diaz and Frank Alpizar, which will launch on June 10 (see “Preview: ‘Avengers: Armageddon’ #1”), and will feature a lineup of Spider-Man, Wolverine, Captain Marvel, Daredevil, Luke Cage, and a new hero who will debut soon. “After what happens in Avengers: Armageddon, this lineup is angry as hell and ready to avenge,” Zdarsky said in a statement accompanying the announcement.
Avengers #1 will be released on November 4, 2026, with a main cover by Checchetto, a variant by Zdarsky, and a True Believers Blind Bag program, with each bag including an exclusive variant cover that is not available for regular, including unique hand-drawn sketch covers.
The new series will launch just ahead of the premiere of the Avengers: Doomsday film, which will open on December 18 (see “‘Avengers: Doomsday’”).
