Hasbro Brings Back 'Crossfire'

Popular Marble Shooting Game Will Release into U.S. Hobby Retail

Hasbro has brought back Crossfire, the popular marble shooting game. This game will release into U.S. hobby retail in July 2026.

The first version of this game was produced in 1971 by the Ideal Toy Company. The concept behind the game was simple: players would use plastic blasters to shoot marbles at pucks that had ball bearings attached to them in order to push the puck into their opponent’s marble well.

The game was later acquired by Milton Bradley in the 80s, who changed the game’s original flat, long game board to a battle arena-shaped board. They also made the game incredibly popular in the early 90s via a notable marketing campaign. This campaign featured a commercial that had a very Escape From New York/Running Man, dystopian future flavor to it, and a slogan that declared the game “The Ultimate Challenge.”

In 2016, the game came under the Hasbro banner. The new version of the game features a hybrid of the two board that looks more like hockey rink. The blasters and the board art have been updated, but the concept of the game seems the same. This game is for two players, ages 7 and up and plays in 10 minutes. It will retail for $29.99.

Hasbro Games will also release Fury of Dracula 5E, a new edition of the classic board game (see ” Hasbro Revives ‘Fury of Dracula’“).
