Over $100,000 in Pokémon TCG and football cards were stolen from a cards and comics shop on the Northwest Side of Chicago, according to ABC News Chicago.
The burglary occurred at 1:54 AM at Elite Sports Cards and Comics’ storefront on 3406 N. Harlem Ave. Chicago Police said that two suspects smashed the front windows of the shop, entered, and pilfered the merchandise. They then fled in an unknown vehicle; the burglary was caught on video.
This is the second time one of the owner’s stores has been hit by thieves. CPD detectives are currently investigating the crime.
The Chicago Police Department recently arrested and charged a suspect in a string of armed robberies involving the theft of Pokémon TCG cards (see “Armed Robberies“).
