Hachette Games has placed Omens, a new party game, onto preorder with an expected release date of August 5, 2026.
In this tarot-inspired team game, by Maxime Rambourg and Ben Renault, players use the number, color suit, and conditions of their cards to win tricks and remove cards from play. Some of the game mechanics can create chaotic trick-taking situations, making it more difficult for players to unload cards from their hand. The first team with a player down to one card wins.
This game is for four to six players, ages 14 and up, and plays in 15 minutes.
Hachette Boardgames will also release Super Meeple’s card-drafting tableau-building game Mythologies (see “‘Mythologies’“).
