Top Shelf Announces We Are Pan

Top Shelf Productions has announced We Are Pan, a graphic novel based on the true story of children evacuated from 1960s Cuba.

It’s based on Operación Pedro Pan (aka Operation Peter Pan), which took place from 1960-1962.  The U.S. government and the Catholic Welfare Bureau worked together to transport over 14,000 minors from Cuba after the revolution led by Fidel Castro.  Parents feared that their children would be seized and indoctrinated into Communism.  The children were sent across the United States to foster homes, leaving their families behind.

The graphic novel is by Andre Frattino (see “Tokyo Rose – Zero Hour“) with art by Yasmín Flores Montañez (see “DC Rolls Out New Milestone Titles“), and the book has a forward by Alex Segura (Secret Identity).

The 184-page hardcover will be available June 2, 2026, for $19.99.
