It’s been a busy latter half of the week for showbiz. Time for a round-up!
Sony Pictures is developing a Venom animated feature, according to The Hollywood Reporter. They have attached Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein, makers of Final Destination: Bloodlines, to the project. Tom Hardy, the actor who played Venom in the movies (see “‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage’“), will also be involved in the project.
HBO Max released a trailer for House of the Dragon Season 3 (see below). This season will begin streaming on HBO Max in June 2026. This series has already been renewed for a fourth season (see “‘Game of Thrones’ Series News“).
Lucasfilm revealed the official Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu trailer (see below). The movie, starring Pedro Pascal and Sigorney Weaver, will head to theaters on May 22, 2026 (see “Mandolorian & Grogu“).
Pixar unveiled a Toy Story 5 trailer (see below). The new Toy Story movie tackles the sensitive subject of children using tablets to occupy their time as opposed to playing with traditional toys. This movie will head to theaters on June 19, 2026 (see “‘Toy Story’“).
Netflix released an official trailer for Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man (see below). The new movie tells the story of Tommy Shelby after he abandoned his criminal empire in the final season of the show. It stars Cillian Murphy, Rebecca Ferguson, Sophie Rundle, Tim Roth and Stephen Graham, and will hit Netflix on March 20, 2026 (see “Blinders“).
Netflix Anime will release an all-new JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure anime on March 19, 2026. Steel Ball Run takes place in the late 19th century and features a story about a fast-paced horse race with unique riders. This will be Part 7 of the Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure anime series, which was a top-selling manga series in 2025 (see “PRO: September 2025“).Source: ICv2
