Pinnacle Entertainment Group announced a 30 Years of Deadlands crowdfunding campaign, which will hit Kickstarter on February 17, 2026.
The first Deadlands book debuted at Gen Con in 1996, and ever since then, RPG enthusiasts have been exploring the Weird West (see “‘Deadlands’“). The centerpiece of the PEG’s 30th anniversary campaign is Deadlands: 30 Years of Guts, Grit, & Ghost Rock book. This is a commemorative hardcover book with a glow-in-the-dark cover, and contains the history of the game, a gallery of cover releases, and designer and conventions stories. It also has the original first-edition forewords of different Deadlands books by Joe R. Lansdale, Mike Stackpole, and Bruce Campbell. This book will not be made available as an ongoing retail product.
Along with Deadlands: 30 Years of Guts, Grit, & Ghost Rock, PEG will offer a new edition of the Deadlands Core Rulebook and Deadlands Starter Box through the campaign. There have been minor updates to the core book, and fans who already own a copy of Deadlands and Savage Worlds can find the updates online at Pinnacle’s website. The campaign will also offer up a new bestiary book, Rascals, Varmits & Relics, as well as a Marshal’s Accessories Box and Powers Box.
