Games Workshop Reveals New Narrative Campaign for 'Warhammer 40,000'

Games Workshop revealed The Maelstrom, a new narrative campaign for Warhammer 40,000, which is headed to preorder.

This narrative campaign follows up on the 500 Worlds: Titus set (see “Reclaim the 500 Worlds“) with three books and a booklet that allow players to battle through the Huron Blackheart’s most recent raid and the resistance he encounters from the Aeldari Corsairs. The Lair of the Tyrant book offers up the campaign’s narrative; the Crucible of Champions contains the new rules for creating custom Warhammer 40,000 characters for The Maelstrom. The Raid and Ruin book offers players a new campaign system for this narrative, and the Detachments booklet contains Detachment options for Chaos Space Marines, Aeldari, Orks, and Leagues of Votann armies. The set of books will also come in a Collector’s Edition.
