WizKids pushed back the release date of Tomb of Horrors, a new expansion for D&D Onslaught, and released updated details on the product.
The original release date for this expansion, announced back in August 2025, was estimated for February 2026 (see “‘D&D Onslaught’ Expansion“). The new release date is now scheduled for May 2026. In the latest D&D Onslaught expansion, players try to survive an infamous dungeon by killing monsters, avoiding traps, and eventually, defeating the demilich Acererak that lurks below. This expansion is based on a notoriously difficult AD&D 1E module by the same name designed by Gary Gygax. It features new cooperative gameplay, map tiles, monsters, cards, and scenarios, and it is backwards compatible with characters and treasures from previous D&D Onslaught expansions.
The expansion only contains map tiles, tokens, and cards to play the game; players can upgrade the monster tokens via WizKids’ D&D miniatures line. It supports one to four players, ages 14 and up, and plays in 90 minutes. WizKids has also reduced to the MSRP of this game from $59.99 to $49.99.
