Marvel to Publish 'Silent Möbius x Avengers' Crossover

Marvel Comics will publish a crossover series bringing together the Avengers and the cast of Kia Asamiya’s manga Silent Möbius in spring 2026.  Marvel Editor-in-Chief C.B. Cebulski announced the new series, Silent Möbius x Avengers, on December 7 at Tokyo Comic Con, where Asamiya joined him onstage; Marvel later posted the news on the Marvel Japanese Twitter/X account.

Anime News Network provided some follow-up details, confirming that the series will be published in the U.S. in the spring and that there are no plans for a Japanese release. Asamiya will personally handle the story (in collaboration with Marvel) as well as the line art and coloring for the series.  Cebulski will be the editor.

Silent Möbius is a sci-fi series that features a team of female police officers who protect Tokyo from the vicious extra-dimensional beings known as the Lucifer Hawks.  The manga, which ran from 1989 to 1999 in Japan, was published by VIZ Media in flipped volumes from 1999 to 2003, and then picked up by Udon Entertainment for an unflipped edition in 2009 (see “Udon to Release ‘Silent Mobius: Complete Edition’”). The series has been adapted into two anime films and a 26-episode anime series (see “Bandai”).

Asamiya has worked with both Marvel Comics and DC Comics in the past, doing both cover and interior art (see “More Manga at Marvel”), and his manga catalog includes a Star Wars adaptation and Batman: Child of Dreams, which topped the monthly sales chart when it was released in the U.S. in 2003 (see “Top 50 Graphic Novels Actual—March 2003”).

Asamiya posted two pieces of concept art on his Twitter/X account.
