Vertigo Returns With 10 Series Titles

At New York Comic Con, DC Comics announced ten Vertigo comic book series coming in 2026.  The return of the Vertigo imprint for creator-owned works was announced at NYCC last year (see “DC Bringing Back Vertigo“).

First up was the continuation of The Nice House by the Sea with issue #7 on February 4.  The series is by James Tynion IV, Álvaro Martínez Bueno, and Jordie Bellaire.  The first six issues were collected in June 2025 and was a top 20 seller in the direct market (see “Top 20 Graphic Novels – June 2025“).  The survivors from that story will deal with the consequences of their escape.

The other titles are all new, with dates announced for those coming in February and the others to follow throughout the year.

Bleeding Hearts by Deniz Camp, Stipan Morian, and Matt Hollingsworth.  A zombie’s heart starts beating again, putting his place in a death-oriented society at risk.  Launches February 11.

End of Life by Kyle Starks, Steve Pugh, and Chris O’Halloran.  A hitman has to return to his Midwestern home town to take care of his dying father.  Due out February 18.

The Peril of the Brutal Dark: An Ezra Cain Mystery by Chris Condon and Jacob Phillips.  A noir detective story in a fascist fantasy world where a powerful artifact has been stolen.  Coming February 25.

100 Bullets: The US of Anger by Brian Azzarello and Eduardo Risso.  The previous 100 Bullets series ran from 1999-2009 with a sequel series, 100 Bullets: Brother Lono, put out in 2013-2014.  This series has Lono returning to America.

Black Tower: The Raven Conspiracy by Ram V and Mike Perkins.  Set in a world of magic and sorcery, the series follows wizard spies in the UK during a global cold war.

Necretaceous by Tom Taylor and Darick Robertson. Scientists trying to stop a zombie virus time travel to the dinosaur era.

Fanatic by Grace Ellis and Hannah Templer. A woman, obsessed with a comic book, fixates on its creator.
