Pokémon HOME is a special app that enables Trainers to continue their Pokémon adventures beyond a single game system and manage their collection of Pokémon across many of their games. Pokémon HOME is available now on Nintendo Switch, iPhone and iPad (App Store), and Android (Google Play) devices.

Gather up your Pokémon™—the latest update to the Pokémon HOME application is here!

With the Version 3.0.0 update, you can now link with the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet games. This means you’ll be able to deposit* and withdraw Pokémon from each game. But please note that you can only move Pokémon to games that they’ve appeared in.

Let’s use Pikachu as an example. A Pikachu that you caught in Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet can be moved to Pokémon SwordPokémon ShieldPokémon Brilliant DiamondPokémon Shining Pearl, and Pokémon Legends: Arceus. However, if you try to move a Lechonk to any of these games, you won’t be able to since it does not appear in those games. There may also be some restrictions on what kind of Moves a transferred Pokémon can learn/retain.

To celebrate Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet becoming compatible with Pokémon HOME, you can receive a special gift!

When you transfer a Pokémon from Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet into Pokémon HOME for the first time, you’ll be able to receive a Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly with Hidden Abilities as Mystery Gifts in the mobile device version of Pokémon HOME. Bring them with you for even more fun on your adventures in Paldea!

Alongside the new compatibility, you can also expect these additions:

  • Convert Pokémon HOME Points into LP (League Points).

  • Change the Pokémon details page to display information based on the games that a Pokémon has been in.

  • Change the moves it knows from among a list of moves it has learned up to that point**.

With this update, you’ll also be able to bring Gimmighoul (Roaming Form) from Pokémon GO into Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet via Pokémon HOME.

Pokémon HOME is a cloud service for the Nintendo Switch™ system and compatible mobile devices designed as a place where all Pokémon can gather. By linking the same Nintendo Account to both the Nintendo Switch version and mobile version of Pokémon HOME, you’ll be able to access the same Pokémon Boxes on both versions. With Pokémon HOME you can move Pokémon between compatible games, trade Pokémon on the go, and more! You can also purchase a subscription to the Pokémon HOME Premium Plan for more features.

Learn more about moving Pokémon from Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet into Pokémon HOME, new features on the Nintendo Switch app, and more.

Pokémon HOME has been updated to version 3.0.0 and players can now link Pokémon HOME to their Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet game. By linking their Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet game, players will be able to move their Pokémon freely between other games via Pokémon HOME—just remember that Pokémon can only be moved to games that they appear in. For example, Dolliv cannot be moved to Pokémon Sword, Pokémon Shield, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond, Pokémon Shining Pearl, or Pokémon Legends: Arceus because it does not appear in those games. A Pikachu from Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, however, can be moved to these games because it appears in them. Additionally, the Tera Type of Pokémon moved to Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet will be determined by their original type or types.

You can celebrate this new connectivity between Pokémon HOME, Pokémon Scarlet, and Pokémon Violet by receiving a special gift! Bring them into your game and have even more fun on your adventures in Paldea! (These Mystery Gifts can only be claimed once per Pokémon HOME account.)

You can now bring Roaming Form Gimmighoul from Pokémon GO into Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet via Pokémon HOME. For more details on how to catch Roaming Form Gimmighoul in Pokémon GO, refer to these instructions on connecting Pokémon GO to Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. Additional instructions on connecting Pokémon GO to Pokémon HOME can be found here.

Alongside connectivity with Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, a variety of other features have been implemented in the Nintendo Switch Version of Pokémon HOME.

You can now exchange Pokémon HOME Points, which you can receive based on the number of Pokémon you have in your Pokémon HOME Boxes, for LP (League Points) that you can use in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. The more Pokémon you move to Pokémon HOME, the more items you can buy in Paldea!

You can now change the Pokémon details page to display information based on the games that Pokémon has been in. Doing so will allow you to check information about a Pokémon from whichever game you please. You can use this feature while viewing your Pokémon HOME Boxes without being connected to a game.

When bringing a Pokémon from Pokémon HOME into a linked game, you can now change the moves it knows from a list of moves it has learned up to that point. These moves are limited to moves that can be learned in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl (some moves excluded), Pokémon Legends: Arceus, and Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. This will allow you to have your Pokémon know the moves you want it to before moving it out of Pokémon HOME.

Enjoy gathering and trading your Pokémon from Paldea!
