With the Poké Pelago feature in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon,
even the Pokémon that have been placed in Boxes can have fun. Poké Pelago
consists of a group of isles where Pokémon can enjoy a variety of great activities.
They can go exploring and find items, play on athletic equipment to increase
their experience or base stats, relax in some hot springs, and help grow
Berries.
You’ll need to spend some time populating your Poké Pelago
with Pokémon and developing islands using Plain Poké Beans to access the full
power of your Poké Pelago. You can’t trick out an island in a day, so read on
for some tips on what to prioritize and to find out more about how this island
paradise can help you train battle-ready Pokémon more easily than ever before.
You can access the Poké Pelago at any time after you register
Charizard in your Ride Pager—press the X Button and then select Poké Pelago.
The Poké Pelago button starts on the second screen of the bottom menu, but if
you find yourself returning to the Poké Pelago frequently, you may find it more
convenient to tap and drag the button to bring it to the first screen.
Stock Up at Isle
Abeens
When you first reach the Poké Pelago, you’ll only have
access to Isle Abeens. The first island features a giant beanstalk your Pokémon
gather around. It won’t help you find a harp or even a golden Zangoose, but
shaking the beanstalk periodically will allow you build up your Poké Bean
reserves. These valuable items are the currency of the Poké Pelago. You can
even tap a Poké Bean with your stylus and then drag your stylus across the
other Poké Beans to avoid accidentally interacting with your Pokémon as you
collect Poké Beans.
Each island in the Poké Pelago can be developed by trading Plain
Beans, and you’ll have to cough up some Plain Beans just to unlock the other four
islands, too. You’ll also need a certain amount of Pokémon in your PC to
upgrade or unlock islands. Each island can be developed twice after it has been
unlocked. As you develop each island, it will become more effective. For
example, improving Isle Abeens causes the giant beanstalk to grow, increasing
the amount of Poké Beans you’ll be able to collect. The beanstalk may drop
Plain Beans, Patterned Beans, or Rainbow Beans. You can consider the Plain Bean
to be the standard Poké Bean unit.
Sometimes wild Pokémon may also be enticed to visit the Isle
Abeens. These Pokémon won’t join your team through battle. Instead of beaning
the wild Pokémon with your attacks, you can increase the odds of wild Pokémon visiting
by placing Poké Beans in the crate next to the beanstalk. To make the Pokémon
stick around, tap it to see how it’s doing. After one day, you may see the wild
Pokémon now has a heart over its head. You can then invite the Pokémon to join
your team. New species of Pokémon have the chance to appear after major achievements
during your journey, so make sure to keep checking back!
We suggest developing Isle Abeens to its maximum potential before
upgrading other islands. This will get you the most Poké Beans, letting you
upgrade your other islands faster. Plus, the Poké Bean cost of leveling up Isle
Abeens is modest compared to the other islands. You can unlock the remaining
Islands in any order.

Bountiful Berries at Isle
Aplenny
You’ll start collecting Berries at trees around Alola early
in your journey, but you won’t be able to grow your own Berries until you reach
the Poké Pelago and unlock Isle Aplenny. As you upgrade Isle Aplenny, you’ll be
able to grow more Berries, and the Berry trees you plant will have greater yields.
Placing Poké Beans in the crate on Isle Aplenny will increase the speed Berries
grow at. Depending on the type of Berry, it will ordinarily take between 24 and
72 hours to grow.
Isle Aplenny can be a great way to get more valuable or rare
Berries. Here are some Berries Trainers with a green thumb might appreciate:

Planting a bunch of Lum Berries can cut down on
the need for items like Full Heal, Antidote, and Awakening. -
Sitrus Berries can help reduce the need for
expensive healing items, such as Full Restore and Max Potion. -
The Berries that reduce a Pokémon’s base stats,
yet increase their friendliness are hard to find growing in the wild, but you
can grow as many Berries as you want with a few days of work. Pomeg Berry,
Kelpsy Berry, Qualot Berry, Hondew Berry, Grepa Berry, and Tamato Berry are
great Berries to stock up on if you want to train your Pokémon to be the very
best.

Discover Rare Items
at Isle Aphun
On Isle Aphun, you can send your Pokémon into a dark,
mysterious cave to have exciting adventures. After 24 hours, your Pokémon will
emerge from the cave with some items! You’ll unlock new paths through the cave
as you develop Isle Aphun. If you put Poké Beans into the crate on Isle Aphun,
it will allow your Pokémon to finish their explorations quicker.
Your Pokémon will often return with items with high resale
value. Isle Aphun is a great way to get items such as an Ice Stone, Dusk Stone,
and a Dawn Stone, which are needed to help some Pokémon evolve. If you’re
really lucky, your Pokémon may also discover a Gold Bottle Cap on some paths,
one of the rarest items of all!

Power-Up at Isle
Evelup
Isle Evelup is one of the best ways to power-up your Pokémon
for battles. Not only can you have your Pokémon gain experience while playing,
but you can also send your Pokémon on courses tailored for HP, Attack, Defense,
Special Attack, Special Defense, or Speed to increase its base
stats. Developing Isle Evelup will increase the amount of experience or
base stats gained while playing. Once Isle Evelup is fully developed, Pokémon
will gain four base points for each round of training.
Isle Evelup can be an excellent way to train Pokémon without
any stress if you don’t need them in battle immediately. It can also be a great
way to train Pokémon with a complex strategy. If you’re looking to train your
Pokémon to have increased, but not perfected base stats, such as 244 HP or 148
Attack instead of training two stats to the maximum, you’ll probably find it
easier to train your Pokémon on Isle Evelup than to defeat a specific amount of
wild Pokémon.

Relax at Isle Avue
After working to develop the first four islands, the
relaxing hot springs on Isle Avue may be just what you and your Pokémon need.
Leaving Pokémon to relax in the hot springs will increase their friendship. But
don’t leave them too long without checking on them, or the heat from the hot
spring may overwhelm them instead! Be sure to tap on any Pokémon that seem to
be a little addled so they can get back to relaxing.
You can also leave Pokémon Eggs in Isle Avue. If you wait
long enough, the Eggs will hatch without the need for you to carry them in your
party! Isle Avue is a great way to catch up if you find yourself with a
mountain of Eggs to hatch. Placing Poké Beans in the crate on Isle Avue will
cause Pokémon to become friendly faster and Eggs to hatch more quickly.

Bean Counting
As you can see, fully developing the Poké Pelago will
require a lot of Poké Beans.
Fortunately there are some tricks for getting Poké Beans quickly. Once each
day, you can receive some Poké Beans when you order a drink at a café in a
Pokémon Center. You can also use seven Plain Beans to send out a Bean Bottle with
Mohn each day. If you’re lucky, you might receive some bottles of your own in
return!
You can trade Patterned Beans and Rainbow Beans with Mohn to
get more Plain Beans. Patterned Beans can be traded for three Plain Beans,
while Rainbow Beans can be traded for seven. However, we suggest hanging on to
your Rainbow Beans—feeding a Rainbow Bean to your Pokémon will greatly increase
its affection, potentially saving you a great deal of time and effort.
