Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket will launch its next expansion, Ruler of the Skies, on July 29 at 6 p.m. PDT, introducing Mega Rayquaza ex as the headline card alongside a wave of new content and gameplay improvements. The update adds Mega Rayquaza-themed card covers and backdrops beginning Aug. 1, introduces deck sharing through 2D pattern codes and updates the card dex so cards found in multiple booster packs are automatically registered across all eligible sets. Players will also benefit from a new booster pack system that guarantees a ♦♦♦♦ rarity card or higher under certain conditions. The expansion will be supported by seasonal events running from late July through October, including Elite Deck Gift Missions featuring a Fighting-type deck with Mega Lucario ex and Hitmonchan ex, card collection missions rewarding Trainer cards such as Leaf, Sabrina and Red, Summer Event Missions, the Ruler of the Skies Emblem Event, Community Week, the Mega Houndoom ex Drop Event, a Pachirisu and Beldum Wonder Pick event and the return of Deluxe Pack: ex booster packs.
