Oni Press is adding a new twist to its lineup of EC comics: Artists from the Abyss, a series of one-shots dedicated focusing on a single artist apiece. Each ad-free issue will include several previously published stories and one brand-new one by the spotlight artist. The series will kick off in November with EC Artists From The Abyss: Charlie Adlard #1, which will include a new story written by Chris Condon. Here’s the rest of the planned lineup:
- Artists From the Abyss: David Lapham #1, written by David & Maria Lapham, J. Holtham, Matt Kindt, and Joe R. Lansdale (December 2026)
- Artists From the Abyss: Sami Kivelä #1, written by Greg Pak, Chris Condon, and Ben H. Winters (January 2027)
- Artists From the Abyss: Leomacs #1, written by Ben H. Winters, Matt Kindt, Corinna Bechko, and J. Holtham (February 2027)
Oni launched the revitalized EC Comics line in 2024 (see “Oni to Launch New EC Comics Line“) and has been building it with a variety of new titles that hew close to the traditional look and feel of the original EC Comics, including a new Treasury Edition (see “Oni to Release First-Ever Official EC Comics Treasury Edition”).
