Image Comics will release Beta Ray Bill by Daniel Warren Johnson Artist’s Edition, from Skybound and Scott Dunbier’s Act 4, in 2027. The 12″ x 17″ hardcover volume will feature the complete art, scanned in color to display all aspects of the un-colored originals, for the 2021 Marvel Comics miniseries, which had both story and art by Johnson. In the five-issue miniseries, Johnson brought Beta Ray Bill, a Thor ally, into the limelight.
After his work on the 2021 Marvel series, Johnson achieved new fame for his run on Skybound’s Transformers from 2023-2025, on which he wrote 24 issues and provided art for 12 (see “’Preview: Transformers #1’”).
Image will release Beta Ray Bill by Daniel Warren Johnson Artist’s Edition, a 144-page hardcover, on March 2, 2027 at $150 MSRP.
