VIZ Media has three new editions of Pokémon products in the works.
Pokémon Adventures: Red & Blue, Deluxe Edition, is a hardcover collection of the first Pokémon manga published in English, written by Hidenori Kusaka with art by Mato. These appear to be multi-volume bindups, as the page counts are higher than the original series. Vol. 1, with 426 pages, is set to be released on October 27, 2026, and the 576-page Vol. 2 will be released on April 13, 2027. Both have an MSRP of $29.99.
VIZ began publishing the series, originally known simply as Pokémon Adventures, in 2009 (see “Review of ‘Pokemon Adventures’ Vol. 1”).
VIZ also announced Pokémon Adventures X•Y Complete Box Set, which will collect the entire series with a foldout color poster. The box set is due in Spring 2027; no details are available on price. VIZ previously released a box set of this series in 2017.
The Pokémon Sun & Moon Complete Manga Box Set, collecting all 12 volumes of that series plus a poster, is slated for release on September 22, 2026, with an MSRP of $70.00.
