DC Comics has announced the next three series in its DC Next Level program, all featuring superhero teams and all launching on September 2, 2026.
Legion of Super-Heroes, by writer Joshua Williamson and artist Hayden Sherman, is set in a dark future when superheroes are banned, the brutal Persuaders enforce martial law, and R.J. Brande has been murdered. To find the killer, Braniac 1 of 5 scours the universe to put together a team of young superheroes. The 40-page Legion of Super-Heroes #1 will have a main cover by Sherman and variants by Mark Spears, Yasmine Putri, and Hayden Sherman, card stock and foil variants by Jim Lee, a Michael J. Fox cameo cover by Dan Mora, and a 1:25 cover by V Ken Marion.
Teen Titans, by writer Kyle Higgins and artist Daniele Di Nicuolo, kicks off with Fairplay, Cheshire Cat, Proxy, and Wildcard searching for another team member who disappeared after a youth rally. The Titans are forced to team up with Red Hood to find their missing friend. Higgins and Di Nicuolo previously worked together on Power Rangers: Shattered Grid and Image Comics’ Massive-Verse. Teen Titans #1 will have a main cover by Di Nicuolo and variants by Jim Cheung and Hayden Sherman, card stock and foil variants by Dan Mora, and a 1:25 cover by Sanford Greene.
The Doom Patrol, by writer Darcy Van Poelgeest and artist Niko Henrichon, starts with Robotman, Elasti-Girl, and Negative Man getting through a rough time by hiring themselves out. A search for a missing cat turns into an otherworldly situation as a figure from their past prepares to move into their world. The first issue will have a main cover by Henrichon, variants by Ian Bertram and Hayden Sherman, card stock and foil variants by Clayton Crain, and a 1:25 variant by Ashley Wood.
The Next Level series are self-contained, reader-friendly, and in continuity (see “DC Reveals Covers, Creative Teams for First ‘Next Level’ Series”).
