Formula 1 has teamed up with Hasbro Games for a new Monopoly game, the company announced.
Hasbro has licensed the F1 brand for the Monopoly Formula 1 Edition. In this edition, players will race their pieces around F1 calendar as part of Monopoly Grand Prix. They will compete to accumulate Championship points with their favorite F1 team, using helmet tokens to wheel their way around the board. This collaboration is part of F1’s initiative to connect with their fans beyond the race track:
“Monopoly is one of the most iconic and best-loved board games in the world, so we’re thrilled to bring a Formula 1 twist to such a classic,” said Emily Prazer, Chief Commercial Officer of Formula 1. “This edition captures the excitement and competitiveness of the sport in a fun, accessible way, and we’re confident fans of all ages will love going head-to-head with their friends and family when they take to the grid and compete in the Monopoly Grand Prix.”
This game is for two to six players, ages 8 and up. Hasbro Games will also release Monopoly Deal: No Mercy, new edition of the popular card game, into retail (see “‘Monopoly Deal’ Gets Mean“).
