Renegade Game Studios revealed Secrets of the Citadel – Battle for BattleScar, a new two-player Battle Box, which will hit retail in July 2026.
The new two-player set adds six new Heroes to the mix and a living fungus hazard, a Shroudshroom. The Shroudshroom can reshape the battlefield, causing changes in movement dynamics. This set includes everything two players need to pick-up and play a game of Heroscape. It comes with 6 miniatures, modular hex terrain, Shroudshroom pieces, dice, markers, cards, rules and scenarios.
It will retail for $65.00; the pre-painted version will cost $80.00.
Renegade also announced four more new expansions. They are as follows:
- Clockwork Combine Research Expedition (MSRP $45.00): The set showcases Gimbal, an inventor dragon, and his team. It comes with 4 miniatures, 2 Army cards, 3 Treasure Glyph cards, and 3 Treasure Glyphs.
- Crooked Crew of the Clockwork Combine Army (MSRP $40.00): It contain three unique heroes: Guily McCreech, Takanaka Kaiga, and Dumipia as well as 3 Army cards, a Treasure Glyph, and a Treasure Glyph card.
- Might of the New Alliance Army (MSRP $40.00): This set comes with a Marro Hivelord and a raiding party. It comes with 4 miniatures, 2 army cards, 2 Glyphs, and 3 Glyph cards.
- Paragons of the New Alliance Army (MSRP $35.00): The army features three champions of Jandor. It comes with 3 miniatures, 3 army cards, 2 Treasue Glyphs, and 3 Treasure Glyph cards.
Renegade Game Studios announced that the Dungeon Crawler Carl RPG crowdfunding campaign bounded past $13.29 million from 55,972 backers (about $237 per backer) as their BackerKit Overtime Mode concluded (see “Rolls Past $13.29 Million“).
