DC Comics will publish eight new Compact Comics editions and a boxed set in the latter half of 2026, continuing the best-selling format that has helped boost its presence in both comic shops and bookstores (see “DC Expands Lead Over Marvel”).
The boxed set, which was previously announced, will be released on November 3 (see “DC to Collect 6 Compact Comics in Boxed Set“).
The Compact Comics for the second half of the year will be:
- Dark Nights: Metal, by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo – August 4
- Batman and Son, by Grant Morrison, Andy Kubert, and Jesse Delperdang – August 18
- Fables: No More Happily Ever After, by Bill Willingham, Lan Medina, and Mark Buckingham – September 1
- Batman: Harley and Ivy, by Paul Dini and Bruce Timm – October 6
- Swamp Thing: The Anatomy Lesson, by Alan Moore, Stephen Bissette, and John Totleben – October 6
- Crisis on Infinite Earths, by Marv Wolfman and George Pérez – November 3
- Mister Miracle, by Tom King and Mitch Gerads – December 1
- Justice League: Origin, by Geoff Johns, Jim Lee, and Scott Williams – December 1
DC has already published a robust list of Compact Comics, with more coming between now and August (see “DC Lines Up More Compact Comics for 2026”).
