Dynamite Entertainment’s first Red Sonja compact edition will collect the publisher’s first arc of the character, by writers Michael Avon Oeming and Mike Carey, artist Mel Rubi, and colorist Richard Isanove. Red Sonja: She-Devil with a Sword, Vol. 1, will include the introductory issue, Red Sonja #0, which had sales of over 200,000 when it was first published in 2005 (see “Red Sonja #0 Sells 200K“), followed by the next eight issues of the series. The 208-page, 5.5″ x 8.5” paperback will be released in 2026 and is slated to hit the book channel on September 8. MSRP is $9.99.
Dynamite’s first compact edition, Pathfinder, will be released in June 2026 (see “Dynamite to Publish Compact Comics for the First Time”).
Red Sonja made a crossover appearance in DC Comics’ DC K.O. event (see “Preview: ‘DC K.O.: Boss Battle’ #1”).
