Oink Games Announces 'Compress'

Oink Games will release Compress, a game in which players use cards as notes to remember a sequence of numbers, in August following a premier at Gen Con.

In Compress, each player has a hand of only eight cards showing black or white and 0 or 1. They must use these cards to remember a growing sequence of numbers and colors.  There are no restrictions on how the players use their cards, turning them and organizing them as they see fit and reorganizing them as the sequence grows. Players may also choose to acquire “penalty cards” that allow them to further “compress” their note cards.

Compress was designed and illustrated by Jun Sasaki (Deep Sea Adventure, A Fake Artist Goes to New York).  The game includes 96 cards and a wooden token.  It is intended for one to seven players, ages eight and up, and plays in about 20 minutes.

Last year, Oink released the abstract card game Petiquette (see “Oink Offers a Course in ‘Petiquette’”).
