After a publishing hiatus, DSTLRY returns to print with solicitations for six titles for Summer 2026 release. The hiatus, announced in January, was attributed to the impact of the Diamond Comic Distributors bankruptcy, “…derailing our publishing schedule and preventing us from shipping our titles to the direct market (to name a few of the effects.”
DSTLRY is engaged in litigation with Diamond over the fate of DSTLRY consignment inventory (see “Diamond Files Adversary Proceedings”); at the time of the Diamond filing in January 2025, Diamond was handling both direct and book market distribution for DSTLRY.
DSTLRY titles are now distributed to the direct and book markets by Penguin Random House Publisher Services (see “DSTLRY Signs Distribution Deal with PRH”).
While work on the editorial product would have allowed continued shipping in January, “…publishing is more than releasing inspired stories,” the announcement said. “Good publishing entails the right strategy for timing, marketing, printing, and distribution. And we want to make sure these books land with the impact they deserve.”
The new solicitations list six titles, four periodicals and two hardcovers. The four periodicals include three #3s, each the concluding issue of the series; and the launch issue of new title Mischief of Magpies:
- City Beneath Her Feet #3, written by James Tynion IV with art by Elsa Charretier, releasing July 1.
- White Boat #3, written by Scott Snyder with art by Francesco Francavilla, releasing July 8.
- White House Robot Romance #3, written by Chip Zdarsky with art by Rachael Stott, releasing June 24.
- Mischief of Magpies #1, written by Simon Spurrier with art by Matias Bergera, releasing July 15
The two hardcovers, both $30 MSRP, are:
- The Big Burn, written by Joe Henderson with art by Lee Garbett, releasing July 14.
- Warm Fusion, written by Scott Hoffman with art by Alberto Ponticelli, releasing August 4.
