Plot the Apocalypse in 'Minutes to Midnight'

Upper Deck is producing Minutes to Midnight: The Board Game, a negotiation game about causing the end of the world. The game will launch in the fourth quarter this year.

In Minutes to Midnight: The Board Game, each player is the head of an evil mega corporation determined to trigger the end of the world, but in their own specific way.  During the game, they negotiate with the other players to advance their plans, making deals and exchanging resources and arranging for their pawns to assume positions of power in vital industries such as technology and weapon manufacturing.  To trigger the end of the world, a player must get their pawns into the “Inner Circle,” but once they do, the other players have a limited opportunity to thwart their plan and prevent the apocalypse from happening on another corporation’s schedule.

Minutes to Midnight: The Board Game comes with a double-sided game board, 100 cards, 6 player screens, 38 pawns, and 118 wooden cubes.  It is intended for two to six players, ages 14 and up, and plays in a little over half an hour.  MSRP is $39.99.

Upper Deck has also announced plans for an updated version of its Legendary:  Marvel core set (see “Upper Deck Updates ‘Legendary:  Marvel’ Core Set“).  The company has also revealed plans for the Rush of Ikorr Championship Tournament (see “GAMA Expo 2026 News: Upper Deck Announces $100,000 Cash Prize Pool“).
