eBay Announces ‘The 30/30 Collection’ Pokémon Day Auction

eBay announced The 30/30 Collection, a new auction event, that will take place on Pokémon Day, February 27, 2026 (see “New ‘Pokemon Day 2026 Collection’“).

The live-stream auction event will offer up 30 iconic items from Pokémon’s 30-year history with bids starting at the items original retail price.  The following items were noted as the highlight in:

• A 1996 Pokémon Base Set Japanese #6 Charizard Holo PSA 10
• A 1998 Pokémon Red and Blue Versions Game Boy Sealed CIB Graded PSA 9.2
• A 2003 Pokémon Dragon #97 Rayquaza EX Holo PSA 10
• A 2021 Seiko SBPY162 Pokémon Special Model Blastoise Limited to 700 Pieces.
• A 2023 Pokémon x Van Gogh SVP Black Star Promo #085 Pikachu with Grey Felt Hat PSA 10.

eBay also revealed that eBay users had searched “Pokémon” on their platform over 360 times per minute in 2025.  This would add up to over 189 million searches on their platform for Pokémon over the course of the last year.
